Training programs are explained in detail on this site. Every person at the training will receive a quality workbook with many, reproducible pages for classroom use. All training is with a high quality, interactive power point presentation. Diana Day will answer questions, role-play answers and will spend time during lunch or after the workshop to help anyone in need. The workshops can be one or two days each and can also be for college credit.
All the workshop materials can be purchased separately for a campus study. When materials are ordered, Diana Day will work by phone to sure the campus leadership knows how to maximize the results of the book study.
Other very useful materials to help staff achieve success are also available. Press the catalog button to access these materials.
We strive to make the materials current and a good value. All are of high quality paper and bindings with covers varnished so no fingerprints or watermarks!
Parent involvement is of vital importance to a child's academic and emotional success. We have a 2-3 hour live presentation called "911 for Parents©" that teaches parents how to properly communicate and discipline their children. This is an amazingly successful program, so much so, that parents do not want it to end. It is interactive with much Q&A. Diana has done talk radio on this subject so she is every skilled.
These can be held on a Saturday for a "Parent University" and the parents receive a certificate of attendance. We are very good about delivering parents to these programs and have a flier called "12 Ways to Get Parents To Come To Programs" to give to sponsoring districts.
There are also parent involvement materials available for purchase: A DVD or Video package with the "911 for Parents© filmed in front of a live audience and the "Goal-for-It!© books are also excellent for parents.
There is also a "911 for Parents©" Trainer program that allows your counselors or trainers to teach the parent programs in-depth in your district. We can provide a trainer in your district for as few as 8 people.
All of our programs can be applied to either undergraduate or graduate credit with the sponsorship of an accredited college/university who is willing to work with us. The class is 40-42 hours and can be held over a period of one week in the summer. It is excellent for new teacher training when a practicum is essential.
Coaching of staff and students while school is in-session, is one of the highlights of this division. It allows Diana to work with staff and students to embed the principles of the program with fidelity. She teaches the class, helps teachers to create meaningful, high rigor lessons that engage students, and meets with individual teachers about their strengths and weaknesses. She can also provide an after-school review session the same day.
